MacOS comes with an integrated password manager called "Keychain". Have a goggle to find out all about it.

The plus with 'Keychain' is it works seamlessly across Apple devices.
The negative with 'Keychain' is it is not accessible AT ALL from non-Apple devices.
So if you, for example, use a Windows PC or laptop as well as Apple devices then you can't access 'Keychain' on the Windows device.
LastPass seems to work OK on Apple devices and is cross-platform. KeePass is another alternative but there seem to be almost no free IOS KeePass clients.

If you want a general password manager iOS app then Keepassium is a free solution (minikeepass used to be the go to free app but is no longer updated/supported) which is compatible with KeePass databases.

Keepassium has a 'freemium' model - some limited elements are free but if you want to use all the facilities it costs £14.99 a year.

Sorry should have mentioned that, but for a light user with a main db on a Mac/PC whatever, the 'free' option covers most of what you need.

To update the information above - Apple has now introduced an extension for Chrome (or Edge Chromium) which allows you to use passwords saved in Safari on your iPad or iPhone on Windows devices - https://gizmodo.com/how-to-sync-all-of- ... 1846254557 and also to save passwords from Chrome or Edge back to the Apple 'Keychain', although there doesn't seem to be any capability to edit in Windows.
It seemed to require a new download of the iCloud Windows app to make it work, but it does seem to be be OK to use.
