Any recommendations for A3 printer?
Any recs for an A3 printer? Black and white would be fine. Ideally with duplex.
Not bothered about scanning or colour but not a problem if they have it.
Thank
C

Re: Any recommendations for A3 printer?
Currently (due to Brexit) Argos have no printers in stock anywhere in the UK.

First printer I clicked on using their website was available at my nearest store?
I can maybe understand a claim of reduced availability, but "no printers in stock anywhere in the UK" sounds wrong (and possible politically motivated?)

Re: Any recommendations for A3 printer?
On John Lewis website just checked colour inkjets.
Of 32 listed, 28 are out of stock.
Those in stock are the weird ones nobody much would buy.

Re: Any recommendations for A3 printer?
The original claim was that...
Having checked the Argos website for inkjet printers, out of the 20 listed, just 5 are 'limited stock'.
https://www.argos.co.uk/browse/technolo ... -printers/
Taking the first one that's 'limited stock' as an example, an Epson Expression Home XP-2105 Wireless Inkjet Printer at £39.99, I find that 'limited' mean that none of my local stores have one in stock, but there is one I could 'click & collect' some 40 miles away.
Taking another example, one that isn't 'limited stock' (and one I would buy if I didn't already have an Epson Ecotank) the Epson EcoTank ET-2710 at £179.99 I find that I have a choice of my three nearest local stores, all within a 5 mile radius.
I think that 'no printers in stock anywhere in the UK' is perhaps a slight exaggeration

That's interesting. I checked mainly Canon printers. (BTW they don't flag out of stock, only limited stock.) e.g
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7489631
This one I find is now available in one store 171 miles away
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9341021
This one is available in one store 90 miles away
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/8838315
None is available for delivery. But my point is that for some reason there is currently an alarming shortage of printers.

I can't argue with that (especially as it would be OT for this thread). But it's not Brexit, it's a global shortage. And not just printers, even car production has been hit.
Reuters | Global chip shortage threatens production of laptops, smartphones and more
That had better be my last word on this thread.
