Anyone using the newish 5g on their mobile phone for internet browsing? First impressions regarding download speeds? Are VOIP calls (voice over internet) good quality? Does it live up to the marketing/hype?
I was thinking that one day i'll ditch the landline if calling over internet becomes reliable. I use my mobile for most calling but still have a landline as a 'backup' and usually the call quality on landline is better, but i only
have 'free' calls at the weekend.
I have recently discovered that calling over whatapp is better quality than ye olde 4g network. However, i think there has to be decent upload bandwidth which is limited to 10% of download speed with virgin, and if others in the house are using the internet at the same time, then not so good.
