My wife has a Hewlett-Packard Envy x360 laptop, model 15-ee0504sa.
She would like a spare battery.
Does anyone have suggestions for reputable sources?

Re: Laptop Battery
Not a recommendation, but https://www.batterybuy.co.uk/battery-hp ... attery.htm has something claimed to be suitable.
The presence of two screwdrivers in the kit makes me wonder if a spare (rather than replacement of failed) battery is practicable?

similarly

these may not be the exact model but its likely that the model mentioned will be very little different

Re: Laptop Battery
I have a similar Envy x360 laptop.
I've not had to replace the battery (yet), but I have changed the HD for a SSD, requiring the unscrewing of 12 screws to detach the base from the chassis. The SSD swap was easy because removing the base exposes the hard drive bay.
However, I noted - in case I ever need to change the battery - that it is behind (above) the motherboard, which has to be removed to get at the battery.
The best advice I can offer you is to peruse the HP service manual for your laptop, which can be downloaded free from this page on the HP website: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp ... 89/manuals
Do confirm that it is the correct manual for your laptop - it covers a range of models which appears to include yours.
Then you'll have a good idea whether you're willing to have a go at changing the battery yourself - and as already suggested, it is a change and not a spare.

According to the Maintenance and Servicing Guide from your link, you can leave your 12 screws, base and motherboard where they are. You get to the battery from the top by removing the keyboard and speakers.

Re: Laptop Battery
I wonder if any Lemon Fool has tried to repair a laptop battery. I have watched a couple of YouTube videos on this. If I understand correctly, often it is just one of several (3 or 6) cells inside the battery pack which fails. This might make an interesting DIY project.
