Mobile Phone Life?

#446991

Postby feder1 » October 1st, 2021, 3:21 pm

My Asda PAYG says "Sim card registration failed". I removed and replaced it in case of bad connection.

I barely use it but thought that I had 170 days between calls to keep it active.

Yes it has money on it.

I tried logging in the website but have not received an email with password reset. (pw forgotten)

Have I had my account deleted and the money stolen please?

https://mobile.asda.com/help/topping-up/top-up-expire
If you make one chargeable call, text or use a bit of mobile data every 180 days the credit (top-up) on your phone will not expire.
You must make a chargeable call or text every 180 days to keep your number fully active. If you haven't used your SIM in the last 180 days, your calls will be forwarded to our automated service which means you won't be able to call anyone, however you will still be able to receive inbound calls.

- To reactivate your SIM, you will need to call us on 0800 079 2732 from any phone. (free of charge)

If you haven't used your Asda Mobile SIM in the last 270 days, all activity will be barred from your SIM card and all credit will be removed.

After 360 days, your number will be disconnected from the network and the number will be deleted. We're unable to reactivate a SIM if the number has not been used for over 360 days. I

Could it be related to Asda's switch from the EE network to Vodafone a while ago?

Rang the number and they said number and service no longer available.

They gave an 0808 number to join Asda or login to a/c.

Going around in circles!
