Fixing connectivity issues in Firefox
Occasionally the browser can't find its own shoelaces.
In IE, having told you it can't, there is an option on the page... Fix Connectivity Issues, then it goes and resets the Lan and does whatever else, and all is well.
This morning for instance.
There seems to be no equivalent option in Firefox, or more likely I don't know where it is.
Does this option exist?

It's not a fix button but check here
copy this in the address bar
about:preferences#general
and at the botoom of the page
see Network Settings
I just have "No Proxy" ticked

Thankyou, I've now done the same.
So, FF don't have an equivalent easy-fix option. Score one for IE.
I still use IE for a particular forum, mostly a nostalgia thing, but it's also useful in fixing connection issues.

Good to hear it worked
I have never used IE
It is always light years behind open source software
Tabbed browsing was in for years before MS acted like it was a new feature
Netscape/Mozilla/Firefox

Isn't that just the Windows system "Fix Connectivity Issues" page? I use Opera, not IE, and I've seen the same in Windows 8 when something goes wrong with the connection.

You can get to that directly by going to Tools/Settings/General and then scrolling to the bottom for 'Network Settings'.
The default is "Use system proxy settings"

Re: Fixing connectivity issues in Firefox
Hutber's Law ("improvement means deterioration") strikes again with the version 96 update.
Some of us have found that Firefox won't load any websites. There's a fix (I found it on Reddit), which requires you to change one of the configuration settings in Firefox. Instructions below:
1) in the Firefox menu bar type about:config
2) search for network.http.http3.enabled
3) This should say True. Change it to false.
4) Restart firefox and it should work
