Samsung Magician SSD firmware update stuck

My Windows 10 Lenovo T430 has a Samsung SSD 870 EVO 500 GB.
Samsung Magician told me to update the firmware - but seems stuck saying "Firmware Update is in progress" So how long should I wait?
Should I give up and restart my laptop?

Quick googling shows a video in youtube of what the process is meant to look like

From Stompa's link it appears that there's a "known issue" and I'd be inclined to abort your current attempt
My thinking is that after a point it's never going to work and you can't undo what you've tried already so you want to find out what the current state is
- and wait for the "known issue" to be fixed

I'd have hoped/expected their FW update process was failsafe (so that at worst it just doesn't upgrade)
