When I sold one of my houses, after a long and tedious conversation where the guy was obviously reading a flow chart designed to hang on to me as a customer, the way I finally hit on to get rid of my Sky contract was to tell him I was moving onto a boat. And that I would be delighted to keep the contract going if they could come and install a satellite for me that would work whichever way the boat was facing on any given day.

That flummoxed him!
