I was going to post this on the TV board but there's a few oldie IT techies on here (like myself) who may find this of interest. It's a fascinating programme on the development of the silicon chip in the mid 70's and the dawn of the IT automation industry. It goes on to examine the social implications of the technology and mirrors pretty much where we are today with the AI debate. This was a golden age when science programmes were more substance than style.
