Hi Folks,
Heard on the news this morning about 'assaults' in VR Gaming. I have no experience of VR. My gaming, years ago was with my son on Grand Theft Auto where you play against the computer. Modern VR stuff, I gather, involves creating, in the comfort of your own home, your online presence, an Avatar, which you control through hand controls in the VR world. So far ok. If someone tries to to 'assault' you and you just switch it of, does your Avatar just disappear or freeze or what? What happens then later when you switch it back on. Do you start from where you left of or at a predetermined position?
I have no wish to take part in any of this, it's like that question about Artificial Inteligence i.e. 'can'tyou just switch it off?'
I suspect I am way out of touch with this,
Ray.
