Don't you believe it. There was a recent thread from another on TLF with a failing hard disk.
Huge amount of stress over the subject. But the stress was mostly self inflected, along the lines of "I can't do this, it's beyond my ability". In actual fact, if you ignore the concerned remarks, it seems that they didn't have any trouble.

Ps, I'd be installing Linux, but I recognize that many would find that even more stress full.
