Anyone know what's going on with this? Accessing Virgin mail-in was always a bit 'clunky' but it worked. In the past few weeks though sometimes mail-in loads, often it doesn't. On several occasions I've been asked to prove I'm not a robot by selectively clicking on a grid of photos, sometimes twice over, which is a flippin' nuisance.
I'm OK having linked my Virgin in box to a Gmail account but I'm curious nonetheless.

Re: Virgin Media Email
They had a big outage last weekend, maybe there is some areas that haven't been sorted or they've added new security features.

It's always useful at times like to look at DownDetector.co.uk...

Re: Virgin Media Email
Thanks for link Breelander. A quick trawl and I found a number of people with problems very similar to mine. What's the hierarchy of Virgin email? Who provides what to who? What I'm really asking, I suppose, has there been a change of service providers upstream somewhere? I'm confused but at over 80 I'm allowed to be.

Re: Virgin Media Email
I assume you are using the web browser interface as you get robot checks. I have no problems reading mail via a mail reader using IMAP but web seems very flaky, even depends on device, iPad and MacBook work but iPhone never works.

Re: Virgin Media Email
I'm with Virgin (NTLWorld address) and access my email mostly via Thunderbird but sometimes via webmail. Haven't noticed any problems.

Re: Virgin Media Email
Ever since the changeover from Google providing e-mail to Virgin's own service the mail has been unreliable. I use IMAP on computer and iPhone, and get random "unable to connect to server" messages, especially in the afternoons and evenings. I suppose their servers can't cope with demand. Have switched most of my mail to a different free service.
