Re: Bob Does Repairs
Back in the 1970s my mum had a friend Pat whose husband Mike managed the absolute classic: saw off a branch of a tree while sitting on it! No serious harm done.
The fact "Pat and Mike" sounds so much like an Irish joke added to the hilarity, though in fact both were/are English.

You can't always get it right. There was some poor idiot, maybe ten years ago, who found a large tree in his garden blown right over by a storm, with the uprooted rootball just hanging in the air.
So, reasoning that it's better to be standing on the main trunk than on the bit that you're cutting off, he had positioned himself accordingly, with his boots maybe ten feet from the rootball and his chainsaw facing toward the tip of the tree. (Are you with me so far?) Thus forgetting the primary law of physics, which is that you should always be standing on the side of the heavier lump.
So, he finally achieved saw-through, and the upper growth of the tree (shall we call it three tonnes?) dropped harmlessly to the ground, while the much smaller rootball (a tonne?) dropped abruptly back into its natural upright hole with a mighty twang and catapulted the poor sod into the sky. They found him 100 yards away, still clutching his Darwin Award.

That's a great safety beard the guy's wearing. I like the advertising below - 'Health and Safety Training and Consultation', perhaps it's part of a good-practice demonstration. I don't think he's getting good coverage with that paint though.

Re: Bob Does Repairs
Blimey they have a really comprehensive website claiming to offer all manner of safety training courses:
https://www.ecsafetysolutions.com/about ... t-the-team
"We have put together a great management team that are able to meet all of the demands of providing a sensible, compliant, cost effective safety solutions for your company. We will become a part of your team, working for you!!"
Can you imagine enrolling on-line on a slickly presented training course then turning up at that, frankly, utter dump of a premises? Bit of a shock, I'd find that. No wonder they are painting it!
P.S. the ladder intrigues me. It looks as though it passes through those railings...
