Repairing monoblocs
My parents have a monobloc driveway, in the typical reddish colour. Some of the blocs are chipped at the edges. Is there any special kind of cement they can be repaired with, that will stop them getting worse and not look too unsightly?
(There are actual holes that need filled, not looking just for a sealant.)
Or is replacing individual blocs the best/only solution?
Scott.

You're aware that you can get mortar colouring for cement?
I have an old tub of exterior-duty tile cement, which is harder than any cement mortar I've ever experienced. Might be worth considering?

If the replacement blocks have a different shade...
Steal good blocks with the right shade from the edge or where it will be less noticable, and use them to replace the damaged blocks.
Then replace the "stolen" ones with the new ones.

Re: Repairing monoblocs
Is there some technique or special tool to lift a single monobloc from an area?

Re: Repairing monoblocs
I had a similar problem, my solution to getting bricks out was
Scrape/loosen some of the sand around both ends and sides of one brick
Get two old bicycle spokes, take the threaded end and bend with pliers about 1/4 inch sharply at 90 degrees.
Bend about 4 inches of the rim end at 90 degrees the other way creating a handle.
Wiggle the narrow end down between the bricks at one end and twist to get the short end under the brick then repeat at the other end.
Grab both handles and wiggle upwards, once the first is out it is easy.

Gosh, I thought that you were refering to Amal Monobloc carburettors! I last dismantled one of those in 1968!

I’ve always just popped a screwdriver blade down each side and levered a block out. Takes 20 seconds. Forever needing to do it round the bin area because of the bloomin’ ants that seem immune to all known poisons!

I remember modifying mine with a perspex cover on the float chamber so I could watch the tickler in action on the float!

Way too much time on your hands
Completely off topic and huge apologies to all. I've posted this before but for those of you with way too much time on your hands (and I'm included in that club) why not watch how they built a Lego full sized Bugatti Chiron with working everything.

And for Scott (OP) ... just remember your PPE when you carry out this work. Gloves, kneeling pads, safety glasses, sun cream and pedestrian barriers
Have a great day all
