One of the bedrooms in the new place has a fitting that takes 'long' GU10 lamps. The current ones are CFL and are absolutely rubbish - taking about 3 mins to give out anything above a dim glow. Pretty much the sort of lamp that gave early energy saving CFLs a bad name.
I was looking for LED replacements and there seems to be 2 choices for Warm White long GU10s, Bell and Crompton.

The Bell one is cheaper, brighter, but a bit more blue than a "normal" incandescent and the last Bell branded bulb I bought many years ago was very flimsy.
The fitting holds 3 lamps in a room about 10 x 7 feet so has anyone recent experience of either make?
Thanks

I've no direct experience of either make, but having checked the great online LED supplier that I've used in the past for all my LED replacements, I note that they only sell the Crompton brand of the fitting you're interested in -

I was trying to look for warranty information for both of your options, and the only details I could find was on the above SimplyLED options, under the 'Specifications' section for each item, which shows that the Crompton's have a 3-year warranty, which should give you some level of confidence if the manufacturers are able to offer that length of guarantee.
It's also always worth checking the user-reviews on Amazon to see how buyers rate these types of options too, and the link below suggests that the vast majority of Amazon buyers have been very satisfied with the Crompton's too -

All in all, the above would tend to sway me away from the Bell option and firmly towards the Crompton fittings...

Thanks, I was swerving towards Crompton.
what swung it was finding that TLC have an actual physical store in Exeter that had 55 of them in stock and as I was in the area I picked them up this morning.
