At enormous expense I had a minor oil leak on my van engine fixed last week. Since then, no oil leaks - excellent.
Until today that is, when I parked on a customer's lovely clean block paving drive and my van disgraced itself once again with about six neat blobs of engine oil. So, does anyone have any experience with getting diesel engine oil out of block paving? How to do it and what cleaning products work well?
A brief search comes up with "Resiblock Oil Remover" being highly recommended on the PavingExpert website, but reviews on Amazon are decidedly mixed....
All advice welcome

Cement dust.
As used on race circuits the world over.
Sprinkle it on, brush it in, and leave it, although best done whilst the leak is fresh.
Any remaining stain should fade over time, but neat detergent helps remove any that has soaked in.

Oh that's interesting, thanks.
Seems a high risk strategy though - what if it sets and I can't get it off!!!

You are a JEANIOUS! One of my tenants runs a specialist cleaning company. I'll see what he has to say about doing it....

You use it like kitty litter - let it soak up the spill, then remove the excess, then just kind of spread the rest about in a very thin layer.
I've cleaned loads of spill up from my concrete garage floor and it never leaves a mark
