Small extension 4 x 3m.
Considering a timber frame for speed.
Has anyone any experience of a timber frame build with an external wall of timber with a clad finish please?
Thank you

Re: Timber Framed Extension with Timber External Walls and Cladding
I have been helping my brother with just such a project, albeit on a larger scale (whole house).
He is using a system from Clays Sips. https://www.clays.com/ The advantage with SIPs being that the insulation is built-in
The panels turned up with a big instruction book explaining how to fit them all together, Think of it as a mix between Lego and Ikea.
All very impressive - and very high quality support from the company themselves.
The downside is that at the moment the cost of the larch cladding is prohibitive due to the current situation. Prices may fall next year,, who knows.

Used SIPs on my build 6x10m. Very quick and easy and great for speed.

I think it was 12k for the panels with erecting, that includes a SIP panel roof. Some steels were also included in that for wind bracing.
