D.A.K. an approximate cost for having a gas supply cut off? We have 3 wall mounted gas heaters in an outbuilding. The heaters have not been used for 15years and are on business rates (standing charge of 85p per day/ £310 pa - excessive since we don't use them!). We do not intend to use these heaters again. The current supplier is British Gas (if that is significant..?) and the gas supply to the heaters is separate to any other gas meter.
** was 45.99p per day.

Removing the meter and leaving supply capped - £80 for a residential supply. A year later they might want to come round again and check the safety of the pipework. Not sure if they will charge more if it needs to be cut off at the main.
