Vanguard GIA account tax voucher
Vanguard GIA account tax voucher
I got a consolidated tax voucher from Vanguard for my GIA account for the last tax year. It has a Tax Voucher summary table with a total dividend amount. Below that there is a UK Dividends received table with a total amount with a great number than the first table. Does anyone know why they differ - what am I missing? All dividends were paid in the same tax year on income units I hold in the account. I normally report the first number on the tax return. If I check back in the account for the dividends received on the cash statement, it matches the second table but what they tell me to report for tax purposes is less than this by nearly £150.
Re: Vanguard GIA account tax voucher
OK, answering my own question. The difference is an equalisation amount included in the fund distributions because I was purchasing funds during the tax year.
