Where are all the prospectuses?
Where are all the prospectuses?
Another quick newby question.
Where do the board members get hold of copies of the prospectus of corporate bond and preference shares?
I have found a few on the Hargreaves Lansdown website but many are missing.
Any help would be appreciated.

Corporate bonds are usually available on the issuer web site in the investor section. If not, email investor services and ask them to publish on their site or failing that send you a copy. If that also doesn't work you can ask here about the one you need, usually someone can dig up a link.
For Preference Shares go to Companies House and download the issuer Articles of Association. Make sure you get the latest version. Or ask here for anything specific that you need, you might get lucky.

ELLA is a preference share. The terms will be available at Companies House web site in the Articles.

Re: Where are all the prospectuses?
Thanks GS.
I was looking for a prospectus.
So the terms of a preference share are contained within the Articles of Association.
Thanks for your patience – I have a lot to learn.

The good thing about Articles is that they always give up to date terms and conditions. With bonds the prospectuses may not be up to date, eg following some bondholder approved change, so it is worthwhile doing some digging in RNS, etc. to check.

Often a preference share prospectus can be found, but the Articles of Association document is the ultimate contract between the company and its shareholders, and is sometimes changed, so it's worth getting the terms from the latest version available, as hiriskpaul also indicated. It's also a handy reminder that when you buy preference shares you are only a shareholder with precious few protections beyond the terms written into the Articles -- completely different to bonds where you are a creditor of the company.
