I received a response from HL today about the late payment of interest and fee. Looks as though they were confused as to how to allocate the interest between maturing bonds and exchanged bonds:

The reason for the delay was due to the fact the cash for the Interest payment cash was sent to HL bulked together with the exchange offer cash. Therefore, further investigation was needed to get confirmation for the interest payment rate to ensure the event was reconciled and released to clients correctly.

All fixed now though and I note the bonds are up again! Beginning to wish I had exchanged more now.

The 2025 (non-retail) EUR bonds are also up sharply over the last few days. I’m wondering if there’s some good news about the refinancing of these bonds doing the rounds.

It was the knowledge that the Euro bonds matured before IPF3 that made me cautious about holding too many IPF3 but (and of course this may be premature speculation) if they are refinanced to a later date that would be very encouraging.
