Investing for income

#456026

Postby hassettp » November 6th, 2021, 10:44 am

Hi
The bulk of my investments are in shares following the High Yield Portfolio strategy.

I also have some Investment/Unit trusts:

EdenTree Higher Income Fund Class B - Income
Henderson Far East Income Ltd.
Jupiter Income Trust Fund
Jupiter Monthly Alternative Income Inclusive - Income (GBP)
L&G UK Index 100 Class C Income
Schroder Income Growth Fund
Threadneedle UK Monthly Income Inclusive - Class 1 - Income
Vanguard FTSE UK Equity Income Index Income (GBP)

I have some cash which I want to invest in Investment/Unit trusts. I'm looking for income rather than growth.

I would appreciate recommendations on any Investment/Unit trusts, ETFS to look at or any websites which would provide such a list.

Many thanks

Peter

If you are looking for funds/IT's with a reasonable/above average amount of income, you could look at the following:

ASEI - Aberdeen Standard UK Income
MRCH - Merchants UK
DIG - Dunedin UK
MYI - Murray International Income trust
HINT - Henderson International Trust (Inc)
JGGI - JP Morgan Global Grth & Income trust
MCT - Middlefield Canadian (Inc) Trust
BRSA - Blackrock Sustainable American Inc
EAT - European Assets trust
JETI - JP Morgan European inc & grth trust
AAIF - Aberdeen Asian Inc trust
BERI - Blackrock Energy & Resources Income trust

Renewables such as; TRIG, JLEN, GSF, or GRID
Or indeed almost any REIT investing in UK commercial property, such as: SLI, EPIC, RGL,or WHR

Hi Peter,

Here's a few more to add to richfool's excellent suggestions:

BBH - BB Healthcare
IBT - International Biotechnology Trust
JSGI - JPMorgan Japan Small Cap G+I
IAT - Invesco Asia Trust

They all have a dividend policy of returning 4% of NAV apart from BBH which is 3.5%.

I hold all of them.

Regards,
(another) Peter
