VEVE Alternative / Equivalent

#376602

Postby deltrotter » January 13th, 2021, 2:30 pm

Hi everyone

Can anyone point an alternative to VEVE that I switch between in my non-ISA account.

Must be distribution.

Struggling to find a similar one that tracks the FTSE Developed World or similar.

TIA

The list for developed world trackers at Monevator seems a good place to start: https://monevator.com/low-cost-index-trackers/

The first listed is distributing: https://www.amundietf.co.uk/professiona ... 1931974692

Of those I like the:

"Vanguard FTSE Dev World ex-UK Equity Index Fund (GB00B59G4Q73) OCF 0.14%"

because it avoids the UK which I feel that many UK investors are probably already exposed (or over-exposed) to.

It gives you North America, Continental Europe and developed Asia. Throw in an emerging markets ETF and you have the world, ex-UK.

However it appears to be only an OEIC and not an ETF, if that matters.

Thanks Lootman - I prefer ETFs.

But will not discount funds completely.

HMWO and VEVE track extremely closely together. I swap from one to the other to wash CGT as needed.
