The OH has decided that her 1 carat (she thinks) will no longer be worn and that given no-one else in the family wants it - maybe time to sell. We have no idea of the quality and frankly not even sure it is 1 carat. As I live in London I could go to Hatton Garden. The prices on line vary enormously depending on various qualities - cut, colour, shape etc. Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Diamond for sale
You could get it valued by the Guild of Valuers and Jewellers (based in Bath apparently).

Make an appointment at Bonhams, Christies or Sotheby's with a view to selling it by auction.
The jewellery market is full of rogues and vagabonds so be careful. Expect to get 10/15% of what you paid for it retail unless it is top top quality.
