I think I am going to have to buy a new car. Audi dealers (and very probably others as well) are currently offering a more than 10% discount on new cars for delivery before 31 December. I have never seen that before. Given that this will probably soon be a foreign import and for all I know may be subject to higher import duties this seems like an offer almost too good to miss.
Any comments? Where is the flaw? I assume this is in order to keep the Audi factories ticking over during the Covid crisis.

Re: Covid Discounts
Drivethedeal.com are offering new Audi Q3 with a 14 - 16% discount and Audi Q5s at 16.5% discount.
If you are thinking of buying a new Audi, it may be worth considering a personal lease?
Audi Q5 Diesel Estate 40 TDI Quattro S Line 5dr S Tronic costs £371 a month for a four year rental (6+47 payments for 5,000 miles a year) just a little more if you want a higher mileage, eg payments are £397 for 10k a year).
A Audi Q3 Diesel Estate 35 TDI Sport 5dr S Tronic would cost about £330 for a similar deal.
see: https://leasing.com/car-leasing/audi/q3/
It might be possible to get slightly better deals than this by shopping around. Two and three year deals are also possible.

Howard
