My car is booked into the garage for some mechanical work tomorrow. Can I still take it in to have the work done?
The garage is still open and say I'm allowed to have the work done. Are they correct?

AFAIK garages are considered essential services. As you can imaging for safety reasons it would not be acceptable to close garages down since we are still allowed to drive our cars.
I have an appointment to have all four tyres on my car changed on Thursday, I fully expect them to be able to honour that. The alternative is that I am unable to legally and safely drive my car soon.

I haven't heard that the MoT deferment scheme has been restarted, so this lockdown seems to be quite different to the first one.

I've read several reports stating that garage repairs and MOTs are classes as essential and are therefore remaining open, whereas car sales are not, and can only operate on a click and collect basis.
