Has anyone seen one of those new Defenders with "saddle bags" hanging over the rear side windows. Why?
They hold extra luggage apparently for those who find the space in a seven seater 4x4 limited. About as much as a small airline cabin bag.
Oh and as well as looking stupid they cost over £1000 each!!!!

Yep I saw one locally in our Tesco carpark. I think it's a mix of a designery/markety con to make it look like you are explorey and you have extra jerry cans on the top with fuel.......to get you back from Tesco no doubt.

It looks like the car's wearing a giant pair of headphones. "La la la, laugh all you like but I can't hear you, so nyaahh."
Perhaps wrongly, I was under the impression that unnecessary protuberances like these were frowned upon because of the dangers to pedestrians and cyclists? But I don't reckon their chances of survival amid the confined spaces of filling stations and motorway tollbooths. Crunch! Bit of a stupid place to put a blind spot.

I guess in their minds it's a good place to stash little Theodore's used nappy sacks until they can get home and deliver them to the help
