X13 plate

I'm probably being a bit thick here, but what is the significance of X13 registration plates?
I'm seeing increasing numbers around here, one house up the road has three cars with X13 plates

Does it make more sense to you to read 13 as B? I think those interested in such things interpret 13 as a B.

X13 means absolutely nothing to me even if you take 13 as meaning B. XB?

I did though see a number plate GH05T E not so long ago, on a Rolls Royce. I thought that was rather good.

Around our way, X13 is a bus route. Elsewhere, it's a Chinese laptop computer, or maybe a protocol for packaging dangerous goods in the holds of container ships. Disappointingly, nothing glamorous, sexy or exciting at all. :(

But wait! As a car, XB is a boy racer's dream. Don't just take my word for it. This evil thing has serious pulling power: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqiRihlTDx0

That's a relief, it's not me just being thick. I assumed it was something well known, maybe the registration for Thunderbirds Are Go or whatever.
No idea why I'm seeing so many of them lately, why would anyone want the expense of a personalised plate which doesn't mean anything? Maybe it's just a Glasgow thing, though I've no idea why

There were a lot of plates where I used to live in Sheffield starting 'S10'. It was the postcode of the posh end of the city. I now live in Monmouthshire and the popular plate is 'USK'. No idea why ;)

I saw a big Merc on the M4 a couple of years ago with the plate 'MUS 1C'. I never did find out who owned it. Anyone know ?

Alleged to have been Paul McCartney, although never proven either way. Some discussion about it (and a photo) at https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php? ... late/page5.

I did like this one:
