EV's are fantastic in a world of zero interest rates, to fund their high capital costs, and massive government subsidies through the lack of road tax, 100% corporate tax write-off, no BIK and government paying half the electric bill.

In the real world where money costs money and subsidies are withdrawn they are just toys to sit next to Mr Bean's £1m Mclaren.

I. Argumentum ad Verecundiam: (authority) the fallacy of appealing to the testimony of an authority outside his special field. Anyone can give opinions or advice; the fallacy only occurs when the reason for assenting to the conclusion is based on following the improper authority.

And more important than all that is he was at Queens, back in time the college of choice for those from Scotland and the North East.
