As I understand it you can keep an earnt NCD for 2 years whilst not having insurance.(?)
does anyone know when the 2 years starts?
ie
if i sell my car 9 months into policy year,
that year (presumably) would not qualify,
so does my '2 years' start from the renewal date BEFORE ?
thus in fact meaning I only have 15 months??
I am assuming that current insurer would not send me proof of NCD on the 'short' policy
i hope this is clear!!
TIA

Re: maintaining NCD
It's usually full years earned for two years from the end of cover. So if at the last renewal you had 3 years NCD and cancelled the policy half way through the year you'd (usually) have 3 years NCD available from the date the policy was cancelled.
