Nice. When I saw the thread title I feared it was the closure of the Barber Museum. I've never been there but will make it some day.

V8 indeed. Four litres, four aircraft engines! (In case anybody missed it, as I did, it's the pic below the speed record chart.)
My grandfather was a humble bricklaying foreman, but he was a friend of George Bernard Shaw, who lived nearby. My mother used to recall the sound of his Brough Superior as he thumped and roared his way up the muddy village track.
