Anyone any experience of this in relation to dogs? Vet thinks our parson russell bitch may have this and I'd not heard of it before. Any information re treatment etc. gratefully received.

No experience, but an internet search finds https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer- ... sease-dogs. It's an American page and so the stuff about which drugs are approved, etc, may well be different here, but coming from the FDA, one can be fairly certain it's not vets touting for business. My layman's summary of it is "surgery and/or medication that is highly likely to need a prescription", so it looks to me as though the only useful advice I can give is to talk to your vet about confirming the diagnosis (which sounds rather tentative as you describe it), and if confirmed, about treatment options.

Thanks Gengulphus, we've had her to the vets for blood tests but the results are not clear cut, she is going for an ultrasound next week so fingers crossed.

sadly it wasn't Cushing's disease which is treatable but a cancerous mass. We were with her when the vet put her to sleep so were able to say goodbye.

So very sorry, R6. You'll have treasured memories of her, and you'll have them always.
