I saw one of these today
https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife ... 0to%20July.
It stood out because It was perched on a window frame. If it had been on a birch tree I don't think I would have seen it! I was just about to brush the "twig" off the frame when I noticed it had legs.
Isn't nature amazing

Re: Master of disguise
Hi John,
Your post reminded me of a documentary I saw the other day on BBC1 iPlayer. Secrets of Size: Atoms to Supergalaxies
A great documentary but one part which really did grab my attention was a very small wasp. Megaphragma caribea is about 0.15mm. Roughly about 1/5th to 1/10th the size of a flea. And it can fly

Aaaah, the great Jim Al-Khalili. I'm no scientist, and I have absolutely no head for advanced mathematics, but I'd never want to miss one of his documentaries.
He has a little of the Attenborough touch, I think - a pleasant voice, a pleasant face, an easy manner, and an unerring sense of pace when presenting stuff to us non-specialists. None of Brian Cox's billions and trillions and quadrillions of supergalaxies, and no grandstanding or flashy showbiz. Nice explanatory graphics, too. Can't wait for the next episode.
