According to my calendar, today is the Autumnal Equinox, so it is downhill all the way from now until the shortest day in December. Not a nice thought. It seems to be coincident with rather chillier weather judging by the temperature in my house this morning.

If it makes you feel any better... it's been downhill since midsummer and you're now half way to it turning around ;)

And the daylight hours will now reduce more slowly.

It's also approximately the time of year when Scotland goes from having more daylight than England, to having less.

My wife and daughter went up to Scotland (Edinburgh) for a few days last week, with the intention of bringing some sunshine back, but unfortunately they brought rain. Not sure who to blame for that! It didn't last long though.
