I once saw him in concert at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. One of those special gigs where you didn't know what to expect but came away with the feeling that you've seen a gig that will last in your memory forever.

They've just paid tribute to him on Radio 4 PM, playing a clip of 'Cheese & Onion'. The final piano chord always make me chuckle, being a parody of the crashing chord that ends 'A Day in the Life' (you have to hear it to appreciate it).
