Looked forward to seeing this after is got a rare 5 star rating by the ST film critic.
Saw it a few nights ago on Netflix (a neighbour's not mine).
I won't go into details so as not to spoil it for anyone about to see it.
I quite enjoyed it. However I did not think it was a groundbreaking classic. The three main characters DeNiro, Pesci and Pacino did look past their 'best by' date - in spite of CGI. The film made no new statements that haven't been made by other great Mafia/gangster films.
I'd be interested to hear others' views.'

Re: The Irishman
Agreed, but after The Godfather and The Soprano's etc, there really aren't many "classics" around plus this isn't one of them. Very long, very prolonged but I plodded through to the end. Why I liked it was because I ran in front of the screen with a few breaks in between and lost 2 lbs
It was just OK for me.
