Very late to the party as vaguely heard about this for years but its quite addictive if you like hospitals, viruses and diseases(can't say I do) plus want/need/have to stay at home and shut yourself off from the world. Could happen soon...innit!
"House" with Hugh Laurie, an unconventional, misanthropic medical genius who, despite his dependence on pain medication, leads a team of diagnosticians with everyday sagas. In the first series with 8 more to go I believe, although I bet I'm the last to see this..takes me back to Emergency Ward 10 days, except with a slightly oddball but deliciously played Doctor.

It's a great show. Slightly annoyingly we were about 3.6 series in when they pulled it from Netflix. Oh, and it might well be lupus.
On a more gory front, I think all of ER is on All4.

Life On Mars. Originally came out on BBC in 2006-2008 I think, copied after an American version that didn't do well but ours did and can see why. 2 Series, around 8 episodes to each on BBC iPlayer. Filmed in London and Manchester taking us back to the cops and robbers era of the 70's. Some laugh out loud moments. Clever script and well worth a watch. 7.5/10. Reminds me of the Sweeney. And Philip Glenister is brilliant.

The American version was a horrid ( and literal) take on it
- the BBC show was the original and very very well done
- as was Ashes to Ashes
There are rumours of a third and final (again) season planned; can't wait!
