You'd think no one would be able to breathe new life into a coming of age leaving american high school type situation. Two friends have spent high school dedicated to their studies, then realise the day before graduation they maybe had the balance wrong and try and find the big graduation party. Hi-jinks ensue.

It's fresh and funny, joyful and uplifting, yes, there's plenty of stereotypes in there, but it also knows that and tries to dig a little deeper through that simple view.

I really enjoyed it. Kind of like Easy A + The Hangover, with maybe a splash of Ferris Beuller's Day Off (though I've not seen that for an age so might be talking rubbish).

Put it like this, Lost In Translation is my favourite film, and I nearly watched that again, but watched this instead, and was happy with that choice. I mean, it's not better, but it's really good.

It's on Netflix.

A solid 8/10, and I'm a harsh marker.

Thanks for that - I've had this in the 'available to watch' bucket for a while now and have passed over it to play other films, but the Roger Ebert review sounded as positive as yours does (in fact even more so, as they don't tend to give many 4/4 reviews - https://tinyurl.com/ug3cak3) and so I shall make endeavours to give it a go and report back.

Cheers,

It's not currently available on Netflix UK.

Apologies, it's included with Amazon Prime.
