Adam Schlesinger RIP

I just heard that Adam Schlesinger has died from coronavirus at the age of 52.

He was a founder and songwriter for Fountains of Wayne, one of my favourite bands. I loved their first few albums and knew all the songs by heart. Great catchy pop tunes with brilliant and clever lyrics. Songs like Radiation Vibe, Red Dragon Tattoo, Barbara H, Valley Winter Song, Hey Julie, etc etc. Once you start listing them you realise how many great songs they wrote.

Their big hit of course was Stacey's Mom, but here's a tribute and clip of them performing on a US talk show doing a cover of The Kinks' Better Things. Perhaps apt for these days.
