Worst Ad on TV?
VOXI - By a very long way, currently the very WORST effing advert on TV!
I cannot stand it and have to turn the sound off at the very least, whenever it comes on. (Doubtless not intended for the likes of me.)
Am I the only one?

VOXI, the Vodafone–backed network that offers free access to social media without using up data allowance, has ditched its age–restriction rules, meaning anyone can now take advantage of its affordable deals.
Until now, VOXI has had a strict policy of being for under 30s only. Those who wanted to join had to input their passport number or national insurance number when first signing up.

I think the toe curlingly corny Nationwide poetry ads and their more recent pregnant woman telling us how it will be after the Coronavirus take some beating, as does the one pretending to be a chat show telling us we should not be feeling our Tampon

What's a TV ad ? Haven't seen one for years. Everything on commercial channels is recorded and 1hr programmes take about 40 minutes to watch. Result.

Perf with Surf is the one I detest but I suppose it gets the message across even if it grates on the viewing public.

Re: Worst Ad on TV?
I'm one of the many who feel an urge to destroy the TV whenever the Lloyds banking ads come on. It's not the horses on the beach that get to me, it's the incomprehensible Teletubbies gibberish that passes for a soundtrack.
They tell me that this singer is a transatlantic colonial of some considerable fame. If Lloyds are serious about conveying their support and goodwill to their struggling customers at a time of national stress, maybe they should ask him to put his false teeth in first?

Once again, I'm reminded that TV advertising can be quite regional. I don't seem to recognise those above.

Recording? No just stream them and use a Pi-Hole to remove the adverts.

Not really an option with a 2.5Mb broadband speed (on a good day). My trusty Humax's to the rescue.

I suppose it isn’t. Middle of nowhere or by choice?

Rural, with no option of fibre etc. Mobile phone signal is poor also. Just as well I'm a Luddite really.
Back on topic - ok, I have seen the odd few but why anyone would not fast forward past meerkat and opera singing insurance salesman is beyond me.

I can deal with adverts that deal with dryness, itchiness, occasional fishyness......but at the appropriate time - certainly not at breakfast time. And not in the middle of Big Bang Theory reruns.
Sounds like the one I mentioned above.
That one even annoys my wife

Quadrophenia wasn't too bad, assuming it's Ray Winstone you're referring too

Yes, that's the chap indeed. I should have been specific and said every AD with Ray Winstone in it.

"Oh baby baby, feed me", the creepiest cat food ad. It just disturbs me.

I don't know what to make of that ad. The cheesy singer seems like an odd place for an advertiser to start if it's intent on selling you something - unless, of course, it's planning to destroy that image in some comical way. (A Monty Python boot descending from the sky, or some such device.) But then, just as you're waiting for the joke, the ad changes direction to become a mild bit of 1970s sci-fi/witchcraftery with the cat's eyes. And you're left with two halves that don't fit together. If the cheeseball singer hasn't been destroyed, why not? And are you supposed to love the cat with the creepy eyes?
My personal vote for the worst ads would go to any of the online casino ads, if only because I detest everything that they stand for. Double hate points if they feature some well-known comic or sportsperson who's trying to grease some extra money out of the ignorant masses. But the postcode lottery ads are nearly as bad, if only because they're so patently gormless. People having bingo parties with all their friends in a big sunny field. People jumping up and down in the street with over-sized £10,000 cheques that will change their lives forever and make all their dreams come true. Where do they find these eejits?
