Seeking (very!) small festivals...

#329932

Postby didds » July 31st, 2020, 12:06 pm

Primarily for 2021, but if anything is going on in 2020 ...

Looking for suggestions of VERY small festivals. And by that I mean up to circa 500 people - CF tangled roots festival in Wiltshire for example. Or the former Dare2 ...

Any style of music and venue as I dont want to limit people's perception of what may "suit" - we can filter out what fits or not :-)

Ive tried googliong for "UK small festival" but its not really working - I'm coming up with suggestions of Boardmasters being a "small" festival... well it may be compared to Glasto, but then virtually everythuing is small compared to Glasto. Ive also googled "tangled roots" in the hope it may appear in a "here's some small festivals" type online reviews etc - but no joy.

Suggest away - even if there are no plans for 2020 or 2021 as yet.

cheers

Well I can think of several around here:

Mantonfest near Marlborough
https://www.mantonfest.co.uk/

The Kings Head festival in All Cannings
https://www.concertatthekings.co.uk/info/venue/

Fairport's bash in Cropredy, Oxfordshire
https://fairportconvention.com/

Bath festival
https://bathfestivals.org.uk/the-bath-festival/

All cancelled this year obviously but planned to go ahead next. I wouldn't be too sure though....
