Schitt's Creek

Started to try to watch this last night...probably managed about 15-20 minutes before deciding that it was not for me. It seemed inane and I lost patience with the acting.

I suggest you persevere with it as it takes a little while to get into its stride and you become familiar with the characters.

Have just finished watching the final episode.

One of the best things on "tv" (Netflix). Really good 20+ minute episodes and recommended final viewing of the evening (always made us feel happier).

We watched the entire set as a family over the space of a few months.

Very entertaining, and we all agreed that we were sad when we reached the end.

I do seem to recall that the first few episodes were less good - so stick with it.

Me too. Horrible characters and I didn't even consider laughing once.

I've been told that it gets better after series one. But when there's so much TV out there to watch why bother wading through that? If a new show doesn't interest me after 10 minutes I move on to something else.

If you want a Canadian comedy try "Corner Gas", which is good from the first scene, is consistently funny and has interesting characters. And it's where the word "Staycation" comes from!

I suspect that if Schitts Creek had an American show it would have been cancelled part way through series one. Canada is much more tolerant of bad TV
