As noted elsewhere - Charlie has passed away aged 80
A great drummer- I was lucky enough to see him (with his singer and guitarists!) back in 2013

Quite a character and a deceptively effective drummer. He was perfect for the Stones. He was a great down to earth guy who had no time for the frivolity of stardom. Thanks Charlie!

RIP Charlie.
I saw them all at Wembly in 1998.....they were absolutely brilliant, I still have great memories.
I like the 2 quotes from Charlie printed in the papers today...

* One from the late 80's......'5 years of playing, 20 years of hanging around....and
* 'Four decades of seeing Mick's bum running around in front of me'.
