I know this is probably heresy but I am not much impressed by Adele's new single. Obviously she lifts what is a mediocre song with her amazing voice, but for her, well I am just a little bit disappointed. Her three previous albums don't have a dud track on them.
She is a phenominal singer and amazing song writer (I think she writes most if not all her output), but I guess my expectations were too high.

Not sure why its heresy to dislike something. I've not heard it, but then I'm not interested in the bland kind of radio MOR she now puts out. Her first album is brilliant, second OK and then everything since has been pretty bland, more of the same type "music by numbers". Same as Coldplay.

All the best, Si

Not quite all..... "Make you feel my love" is a Bob Dylan song.
I'm not sure which version I prefer.

Adelle rather shocked me a few years back when I heard her comment angrily in a live radio interview that she would not be paying her £3m tax bill unless she got an assurance from the government that Gordon Brown would not "piss it up the wall" like he usually did.

Or did I dream that? In which case I apologise to Adelle. Even so, I consider find she has an unjustifiably high opinion of herself and her music is at best, forgettable.

Agree with all, maybe she can sing, albeit sounds like near death croaking at times to me, but always these moronic, irritating, annoying, and utterly depressing, wailing cow renditions. bwtfdik.....Nada.

But just watched Tina Turner's farewell concert from 2009 in Arnhem, Netherlands and if you are a fan, and in my opinion, the undisputed queen of Rock and Roll, then you are in for a 2 hour treat. What a show. BBC iPlayer. Oh and she was I think in her 70's or thereabouts when she performed.

An interesting set of responses regarding one of the most successful female singer songwriters in the world over the past ten years, but hey who says people should have heard of her. I am sure there are people out there who haven't heard of The Beatles.

Musical taste is a funny thing, I think Adele is great but am not that keen on Tina Turner, that's not to say that she hasn't had some belting tunes. Each to their own.

All the best

MM
