A bit of a BBC gem the other night on the cartoonist Quentin Blake, whose work most people will recognise from birthday cards and/or the Roald Dahl books. What an incredibly accomplished hand from this 89 year old who can still conjure up caricatures of laughter, lust, joy, spite, pride or sheer bloody-mindedness with just a few strokes of a goose-feather pen. Or a three inch brush, as he shows here.
