Stay Close on Netflix

Postby pje16 » January 3rd, 2022, 2:44 pm

an 8 part 40 -50 mins mini series by Harben Coben (think The Innocent and The Stranger)
The lives of a photojournalist, a soccer mom and a homicide detective are disturbed by a terrible event from the past.

This is one of the best I have seen in a while
great cast Cush Jumbo, James Nesbitt and Richard Armitage

many recent series have rubbishy endings
This does not and when you think its over there is one more reveal

Enjoy

I am watching it and sort of enjoying it. It is a little cartoonish at times and the adaptation from the original American setting of Atlantic City to an indeterminate UK North West/Merseyside location is slightly jarring but I am intrigued to see how it turns out.

A bit far fetched at times but thx for the rec as thoroughly enjoyed it and yes, the ending was great and then the ending was even better than what I thought the ending was. Sorry on my third drink. Getting garbled like I did when I yakked on about the musical thread starting by CK on Beerpigs. But I was well gone then.
Oh, those two weirdo killers, just didn’t seem to gel somehow but different. As mentioned previously fairly comic style in parts but overall a good 8/10.

Whilst not up to the Baptiste 2 gold standard of gurning - James Nesbitt does not disappoint.
