The Split

Postby moorfield » April 13th, 2022, 9:29 am

Not the sort of thing I usually watch but I happened to catch the first episode and stuck with it because I quite like her from Spooks and him from HIGNFY. Watched another two on the train this week. The first two series completely passed me by, so now I am faced with the dilemma of having half-binge watched series three. Should I abandon ship and begin from the beginning? I kind of get the gist of what's going on from what I've seen so far tbh.

I'd say yes, but binge-watching the lot could get a little samey.

It's the epitome of quality BBC drama though.

Scott.

Just binged the whole three series and enjoyed it very much.

OK you have to get used to a world where no family seems to live in a house worth less than a few million quid but it's not pretending to be "Cathy Come Home".

I watched it because she (Nicola Walker) was in it
Not a gripping drama, but quite watchable

Enjoyed it, high quality soap opera. Surprising how many of the characters in one episode left very revealing, emotionally charged messages on voicemails!

Well it is about rich lawyers in 2022 London as opposed to a Sandford/Garnett/Loach polemic about a descent from overcrowding to homelessness in the 1960s amongst the working classes.

Though the acting is even better in the latter with Carol White and Ray Brooks.
