That’s very presumptuous. My parents didn’t own a single Beatles record and my earliest music memories are Glam rock, ABBA, Bowie and then punk. Quite clearly the latter two had a strong effect on me to be individual and not get caught up in groupthink. IMHO thats a good starting point for being a successful investor.

Isn't the case more that he obviously is a great songwriter and performer, but that nearly all his best work was done prior to 1970?
Imagine that the Beatles had never happened and McCartney was judged only by his work with Wings and on? He would be a well known and liked artist. But surely he would not have the following and fanbase that he enjoys today.
I am a fan but I never thought that Wings were that interesting or innovative.
