A very interesting (IMHO) discussion with three former chancellors, Norman Lamont, Alistair Darling and George Osborne, on their experiences of tax policy making, hosted by the Institute for Government earlier today. It's a one hour video recorded discussion to be found at:

I found particularly interesting some of the tax policy changes they wanted to make but couldn't get past their prime minister, as well as some they weren't immediately keen on that came down from no 10.
