Do you mean does it make them more of a Dick?
With Jo's, Debbie, Lisa, and Pam I think not but then I found a Jane. She could be a plain Jane but I'm not sure there is much call for undercover female Chief Constable.
I've never seen one but maybe they are exceptionally good at undercover work.

With a name like Serena (serene?) you may well be right about the undercover work.
Maybe it is a Liverpool thing but the serene one better look out - Ngaire is on the rise.
